Finally
the
following project sites and activities were picked and shall be executed under the
program:
- Construction
of about 200 new classrooms including
appropriate sanitation facilities. e.g. Latrines and about 40 ancillary
rooms.
- Rehabilitation
of about 200 classrooms that
are not or partly functional.
- Provision
for adequate Furniture and Teaching
Material.

Connection of schools to the urban Supply Networks, whenever technically
feasible and financially viable
(Water, Electricity
etc.)
- Teacher
Training on
counseling skills, teaching methods and HIV/AIDS prevention.
- Development
of Maintenance Strategies for the promoted schools.
